This French Lilac planted by the front doorway is fairly intoxicating.
Last evening two bumblebees lay in a stupor amongst her blossoms.
I reached up and pulled the branch downward to get a better look.
They seemed in no hurry to fly away.

About five minutes passed.
Then together, both seemingly sighed,
turned and gently flew upward, almost slow motion.
It was lovely.

Lovely indeed! Very cool photos, too. I think it is too hot for Lilac on Pollywog Creek. *sigh*
We've been gettng a lot of really huge bumble bees ever since early March. They always seem to me to be very lethargic and slow. Still, as big as they are they would, wouldn't they. Flying takes a lot of energy. |They could be the jumbo jets of the bee world!
nice macro! well done :)
Lovely photos. I love the smell of lilac ... :0)

Beautiful!
If your lilacs are out, it must mean mine are next. ;)
Beautiful indeed♥
what super photos. Our lilac is just starting to bloom up here. Not as many flowers on it this year.
