Silent Pools

Silent pools deep in my thoughts,
no one knows how silence mocks,
places, faces, voices come,
words and smiles deceitful - numb.

You thought you knew, but knew you not,
chattering pain, foolish lot,
come no more, nor bid me - no,
cold foolish ways I've banished - go.

He'll show the way, and it will be
light and freedom, grace, not thee.
Retreat, go feast upon your plight,
my joy sees day, not dismal night.

(Today's post was supposed to be about Freezing Tomatoes. Seems Fun sniped the SD card from my camera, hence, we have no tomatoes. Furthermore, it was raining tonight and we all know how that goes. Photo: Shiny Pond on The Farm.)

Just beautiful. There will be time for tomatoes later.

I think I'm glad the tomatoes had to wait.

Is the Windsor strike impacting your life at all?

Actually yes. But in good ways. Windsor gets all their road work done first, but since they are striking, us bumpkin's out here in The County are getting our road work done first and not having to wait until cold wet fall. It's nice. No big butt potholes hiding under autumn rain.

Also I've noticed when in The City how I could smell clover on account of all the uncut greenways - yes - it smells like hayfields - it was wonderful. The day I was down at the river with Speedy and Oopsy was like a walk in the meadow - truly.

And the garbage is not particularly piling up since Windsorites seem to be getting rid of it somehow. Except in front of Speedy's house which is disgusting. But students don't count.
