A Road More Traveled

I've been seeing a lot of this lately. In a mad attempt to cut a svelte figure in the Mother of the Groom dress, I've upped my three km daily walk to a daily 15 mile bike ride. Can you tell I'm Canadian - miles and kilometers all mixed up?

(Photo by GG. I was too busy sweating.)

Wow.....15 miles, I'm impressed. You go girl, you will cut a svelte figure indeed.
As for the long weekend...I was surprised that there were that many people at the auction on July 4th.
The owner gets his stuff from an auction in Memphis....I really need to go up there...but I probably couldn't stand it--it would be auction overload.

You go, girl! My miles and kilometers are all mixed up, too, but that's because I'm an American living in Japan ;o).

I find the miles and kilometres thing totally confusing.

I'm so impressed! How much time do you have?
My son and his almost-fiance' have decided to get married on the BEACH of all places! What on earth does the mother-of-the-groom wear to that? And how can one possibly prepare an almost 50 year old body for it?!

Jan - End of August is the wedding but I have to adjust this dress - actually it's a major rip apart job.

For a beach wedding I suppose the rules are the same as anywhere else for the MOG - wear beige and shut up. I'm learning. I'm learning. (Seriously - what about a pretty floaty caftanish type garment with pretty sandals?

I would go to a resort town and look in their dress shops - bet you could find something really outstanding - maybe even in beige. :)
