His Way

Sometimes on the way home from Town or to One Old Man's, I'll take this little back lane - the one you don't see in the photo. Often a family of ducks are swimming and dipping in the ditch water. This and last Sunday we joyfully witnessed over twenty baptisms - young people giving their lives to God. The church was packed to overflowing and it was a wonderful and blessed time.

My own baptism was April 1967 - we got to wear the Christmas concert angel costumes - minus the tinsel. I thought about life with God - mostly off the beaten path, a little out of the way, not always the easiest or most convenient route, but it's been worth it.

No, it's not always the easiest to live or understand, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I didn't know people baptized outside anymore. I was baptized in my uncle Vester's pond when I was 9 years old.

Yes, it is worth it -- giving our lives to God. I love the way you said it, and I love that photo.
