January Adieu

Bitter January,

friend of none,

summer sleeps;

frozen sun.

Gray above,

dusk below,

frowning earth,

hopeful glow.

(Okay, so January actually doesn't end until Saturday midnight. And then, we still have to wait two days for the little guy up in Wiarton to do his thing. But, hey, we've had next to zip sun this winter, so maybe that means he won't be seeing his shadow.)
And FURTHERMORE!...Blogger clearly was not designed by any arteestic type. No sirreeee bob. I've been tooting around with this thing for, I refuse to say how long, in an attempt to get that wee poem centered beneath the photo. Ha! So just use your own artistic license and pretend it's centered, OKAY? Apologies for shouting. Oh my, this winter is getting long.

I agree - the lengths I've had to go to just to make sure I have actual spaces between paragraphs! For some reason, changing options in settings just isn't enough some days.

Confusifying :)
I've already made it clear elsewhere at DD that I'm a techie ditz, maybe it's just us? :)

Hey if you use html code you can do it.
Try using:
"(DIV ALIGN=CENTER)" such and such "(/DIV)"; this should make your text centered
replace the brackets with <,>

Hey, hey, hey,
It's Speedy to the rescue! Did you get that CL? Will try this on the practise blog first. Thank you Speedy. BTW, somebody's been calling here for you and you have mail to pick up. If you would let me be your friend on facebook :( you would know this already ;)

HTML will let you do quite a bit more than the Blogger wysiwyg editor.

I always use the HTML editor on mine. Of course you have to know some HTML coding to do that, but it's worth it to learn how.

I'm never quite sure where to place the code, so have hesitated doing so. Will try it though. Thanks.
