Prorogued, Prorogued It's Off to Spin I Go

(Decadent Housewife apologizes for the juvenility of this poem and it's messy composition. She's been watching too much CBC this past week. Except for the opening verse children's rhyme, try humming the remainder to "Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's off to Work We Go". Again, no promises it actually works. Unfortunately, I could write stuff like this all day. Right now it's fine-tuned enough. I've got laundry to do. You'll have to stretch out some of the syllables. I'm sure you can figure it out. Other verse suggestions...BE NICE...are welcome if you have any.)

Jack and Gilles (et Stephane) went up the Hill
to fetch a coalition.
Harper fell down
and called the Crown
to fix the demolition.

Prorogued, prorogued, it's off to spin they go,
the winter's are dull
across from Hull,
so this,
so this should fix it all.

Fa-la, Fa-la, Fa-la-la-la-la-la,
it's much too long
for a dance and song,
but never you mind, it's off,
it's off to spin they go.

Prorogued, prorogued, it's home to spin some deals,
should we believe
that the little Steve
and Jack,
and Gilles
will last for very long?

Maybe not, no not for very long,
Steve's clock
is ticking
Gilles' Bloc
is kicking
leaving little Jackie all alone.

Fa-la, fa-la, fa-la-la-la-la
With a Harper-hi-ho,
a parliament - trio,
it's off, it's off to spin they go.
