It Ended a Quiet Day

Fun and Violinist were merrymaking after playing and page turning at a wedding. Buff pumped some iron and ate and drank and was filled. Speedy studied. GG was preoccupied with some technological stuff. So I ventured forth into the great outdoors and found this late autumn lily in the gloaming.
And I was totally amazed that I could actually find a decent shot amongst my big old messy garden.
Of course, I had to drag an old piano stool along and squiggle a path through the rhubarb and pull some fox tails and then...when I realized no one would ever see me...I was emboldened...and lay down and just then I heard a low cough from the other side of the lilacs, but I don't care. It's my mid-life crisis and I can do what I want to. I lay there amongst the lilies and thought of Natalie Wood in "Splendor in the Grass" and then thought, "Dream on Decadent. You are long past looking like that." And it was all very contemplative, until interrupted by a ferocious hunter.
